It does not affect them. GnuPG for OS X / macOS was a standalone build
of the official GnuPG and accompanying libraries (each from source), not
something used as part of third party software. At least nobody ever
mentioned such a use to me.

As I noted in the Sourceforge project retirement notice, similar
binaries are, as of 2025, available via several package managers which
support macOS (e.g. Nix, MacPorts and Homebrew). In that sense,
"development discontinued" is certainly a misleading description. I
retired one particular method of building and distributing GnuPG for
macOS, but that does not impede the development of GnuPG for the
platform. I am not and have not been a member of the GnuPG developer
team.
